Mo regrets, as December shaves the day
‘Oh mo, the moustache removal day that I shaved in my diary is here. How will I ever cope’. (Anon, 2012)
With women upset about having to wait another year until they see ‘a real man’ , and men downbeat about saying bye to the few strands of hair that have taken so long to grow, here at Code Computerlove we have compiled a vintage look at our home grown hairy heroes, and their thoughts on how the month went.
Adam: ‘Having spent the majority of my life feeling shy about the lack of hair on my head, I’m delighted to announce that I’m now totally arrogant about the abundance of hair on my top lip.’
Ali: ‘Laugh all you want about my inability to grow hair in the middle, but we both know that in the small areas where it does grow it looks HOT!!’
Dave: ‘Was I scared of taking on the Movember Challenge? No. But I think the Movember challenge was scared of taking me on.’
Drew: ‘It’s hard to pin point how I get my mo looking this good, but for all those males aspiring to become more like me, just look out for my brand new ‘Moscara’ – sold in all major high street pharmacies’. (Drew was voted ‘Mr Movember’ by the computerlovers)
Gareth: ‘My hair’s real, my body’s real, my mo’s real, and yes……..you can touch me.’
Mark: ‘I don’t actually know if The Village People are auditioning for a new member, but if you find me a policeman’s hat and a leather waistcoat, I know I’ll get the job’.
Matt: ‘Never before have I tried to grow a moustache, but never before have I looked this fresh. Who cares what the wife thinks, this one’s a keeper!’
Mike: ‘For 5 years I have owned a motor bike, and for 5 years I have felt only 95% complete. For 5 weeks I have had a motorbike and a moustache, for 5 weeks I’ve felt 100% awesome. Hell’s Angel’, here I come’.
Tim: ‘Half way through the month I felt pretty smug, but right now I feel totally smug.’
Tom: ‘I wouldn’t say I’m arrogant about what I’ve managed to grow, but I would say that I’m not surprised if people are jealous’.
The Computerlovers’ have raised £364.99 so far for Movember Europe, which supports men’s health programmes such as Prostate Cancer UK and The Institute of Cancer Research; if you would like to make a donation click here.
